The present invention relates to a transmission assembly for a traction drive, comprising two hydraulic machineries able to be connected to pass a fluid through operation lines, a changeable gear, and a gearbox coupled to a second hydraulic machinery. The transmission assembly comprises a control device, by which a torque of the second hydraulic machinery may be reduced to 0 or approximately 0 while the gear is changed. Moreover, the present invention relates to a traction drive having such a transmission assembly. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method of controlling such a transmission assembly, particularly, a torque of the second hydraulic machinery.
