A user terminal for inducing an upgrade of an application includes an error determining unit which determines whether a log is an error log by monitoring log information generated in association with a plurality of applications installed in the user terminal, an application selecting unit which selects the application corresponding to the log information from the plurality of applications based on the determination of the error determining unit, and an upper version determining unit which determines whether there is an upper version for the selected application by interworking with an application market server which manages the upgrade of the plurality of applications.
