The present invention relates to a method for allocating a synchronous dynamic bandwidth from on an optical line terminal of an Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) to optical network devices. The method comprises the steps of: calculating a correction value (EqD) with respect to each of optical network devices by using a round trip time (RTT) of each of the optical network devices so that the optical network devices have the same delay time, during a discovery process interval; allocating a bandwidth for upstream transmission with respect to each of the network devices by using the correction value (EqD), within a first minimum service interval; receiving a report with respect to the amount of data, which presents in a buffer, from each of the optical network devices, within a second minimum service interval; and updating the bandwidth for upstream transmission with respect to each of the optical network devices so that the optical network devices have the same delay time, according to the report received from each of the optical network devices, within a third service interval and then allocating the updated bandwidth.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
