Provided is a customized book recommending system for recommending books for each individual. The objective of the present invention is to provide a cooperation filtering method to recommend a book for each individual in response to each individuals interests and tastes. The book recommending system comprises: a book information database which stores first book information containing genres of a first list of books that a first user has read and information on timing that the first user has read the books in the first list, and second book information containing genres of a second list of books that a second user has read and information of timing that the second user has read the books in the second list; a matching book extracting unit which extracts matching books which matches the first and second lists of books; a recommending book extracting unit which distinguishes a forward book of which timing is slower than the timing of the matching book and a backward book of which timing is faster than the timing of the matching book, based on the information about the first and second lists; and a book recommending unit which categorizes and recommends the forward and backward books to the second user.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
