The present invention relates to a compound capable of effectively preventing or treating inflammatory diseases or immune diseases. Specifically, 4-hydroxy-2,3-dimethyl-2-nonen-4-olide compound or 3-hydroxy-4,7-megastigmadien-9-one compound according to the present invention, suppresses the phosphorylation of IκBα as well as activates (phosphorylation) of MAPK family members, ERK, JNK, and p38, and ultimately through a mechanism of suppressing the activation of transcriptional factors, NF-κB and AP-1, can effectively suppress the production of inflammatory cytokines, IL-12, IL-6, or TNF-α.
