The present invention relates to a system and a method to monitor the atmosphere by using a sensor and gas chromatography. The system includes: an absorbing part absorbing the atmosphere through an absorption line; a sample loop filled with the atmosphere, absorbed by the absorbing part, as a sample; a sample transfer part transferring the sample in the sample loop through an analysis line; a switch part switching a state, in which the sample loop is connected to the absorption line to fill the sample loop with the atmosphere, or state in which the sample loop is connected to the analysis line to transfer the sample in the sample loop through the analysis line; a gas chromatography (GC) column installed at the rear end of the sample loop, and separating an analysis target substance from the sample transferred from the sample loop; and a sensor room installed at the rear end of the GC column, and including a sensor to measure the analysis target substance separated from the GC column. According to the present invention, as the analysis target substance, separated from the sample of the atmosphere through the GC column, is analyzed through the sensor, the present invention is capable of increasing the accuracy of analysis on an external atmosphere, and especially, analyzing a single compound, separated by the GC column, through a variety of sensors, thereby improving the convenience and reliability of the analysis.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
