The present invention relates to an electromyogram signal based on the walking step recognition method for uplink and downlink stairs, (a) and uphill walking or signal for training of the EMG signals of many muscles measured during downhill walking, the foot pressure measured during walking and step of receiving the physical data of knee angle; (B) determining a walking step by using the physical data; (C) extracting the features from the electromyogram signal; (D) comprising as input the extracted feature, and generating a classifier for the determined walking steps to the output; And, (e) using the generated classifier, to provide a configuration that includes the step of recognizing the phase of the walking uphill or downhill walking gait. By by the method as described above, using only the EMG signal classifying uphill, downhill calculated walking can be more accurately classified the stairs step. ;
