Disclosed are a system and a method to detect the momentum of a bull in a cattle farm. In a cattle farm in which 70-130 beef or diary cattle are raised, the system to detect the momentum of cattle transmits GPS position information, time information, and a device ID (identification tag information) of a beacon (sensor node), which is installed in a collar of cattle and includes a GPS receiver, from the beacon to a monitoring server, interlinked with the Internet, at regular intervals through a wireless sensor network (WSN) with a sink node and wired/wireless Internet (Wi-Fi, CDMA/LTE), and thus, the system identifies positions of the cattle in real time through a smartphone and a computer of the cattle farm and calculates a movement distance by unit time in accordance with the device ID of the beacon, including the identification tag information, to calculate speed (v) and detect the momentum (p=mv) of the cattle. As such, the present invention is capable of systemically managing the health of the cattle of the cattle farm by transmitting the speed and momentum to the monitoring server of the computer of the farm and monitoring the health of the cattle through the smartphone and the computer, thereby increasing sales of the cattle farm.
