The present invention provides a device and a method for compensating signal distortion of a magnetic resonance spectroscopic image or a magnetic resonance spectroscopic device. A method for compensating distortion of a magnetic resonance spectroscopic signal according to the present invention comprises: a first reference signal measuring step of obtaining an additional reference signal right after obtaining a water signal suppression radio frequency (RF) signal; a second reference signal measuring step of obtaining the additional reference signal right after obtaining a first excited RF signal; and a signal distortion compensating step of compensating distortion of a final data signal by using the reference signal right after the water signal suppression RF signal and the reference signal right after the first excited RF signal. According to the present invention, when obtaining magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) or magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) data, a final signal distortion phenomenon can be compensated without additional acquisition time for a reference water signal.
