The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a three-dimensional metal catalyst electrode coated with a cocatalyst for electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method comprises the following steps: (a) forming a three-dimensional oxide nanostructure on a substrate; (b) reducing the three-dimensional oxide nanostructure with a metal catalyst through electrochemical reaction and forming a three-dimensional metal catalyst electrode; and (c) coating a cocatalyst on the three-dimensional metal catalyst electrode. According to the present invention, a metal catalyst having a three-dimensional nanostructure coated with a cocatalyst can be effectively and economically manufactured.
