Zigbee Time synchronizing method for various data rate supporting Zigbee and apparatus thereof

The present invention relates to a time synchronization method and device for Zigbee supporting a variable transmission rate. The present invention applies a new preamble structure to support a multiple transmission rate and reduces hardware complexity while having a synchronization unit to support the new preamble structure. The present invention does not apply an additional PN code or a new correlation block for the PN code by suggesting the new preamble structure which utilizes already existing data symbols for demodulation in a preamble configuration increased for supporting a variable transmission rate. Even if a synchronization error occurs at a low transmission rate at which the length of a preamble becomes longer due to the minimization of the correlation block while extremely reducing the number of correlation blocks used for synchronization, it is possible to detect a precise synchronization point through correlation information obtained by using synchronization information and correlators of a demodulation unit, which are not used in a synchronization process, thereby providing various variable transmission rates and minimizing hardware complexity.
