LoRaWAN-based remote meter reading system

The present invention relates to a remote meter reading system comprising: remote collectors; a LoRaWAN repeater which receives meter reading data using a LoRaWAN-based non-standard protocol from the remote collectors which cannot be directly connected to a LoRaWAN network among the remote collectors, encapsulates the meter reading data with a LoRaWAN-based standard protocol, and transmits the encapsulated meter reading data to a LoRaWAN network server through a LoRaWAN gateway; and a LoRaWAN application server which receives, stores, and manages the meter reading data transmitted to the LoRaWAN network server. A single hop communications problem can be solved, and a communications distance between the remote collectors and the LoRaWAN gateway can be substantially extended.
