METHOD FOR PROSTATE CANCER STAGE AND AGGRESSIVENESS PREDICTION PRIOR TO SURGERY, BASED ON LABORATORY AND CLINICAL PARAMETERS

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: levels of comPSA, svPSA, [-2]proPSA are determined in the patient's blood serum prior to treatment. Patient's age is determined. The Prostate Health Index is calculated. Point values are assigned for Gr.i.Gleason and Gr.T indices. The Gleason index (APHIG index) for the prostate cancer is calculated by the stated formula. If APHIG 3.6 units, indolent localized prostate cancer is diagnosed, Gleason index is ≤ 6. If APHIG 5.0 units, aggressive prostate cancer is diagnosed, Gleason index 6 or ≥ T3a stage.
