Memory-based intrinsic fingerprint identification with a fuzzy algorithm and a dynamic key

A method of identifying a chip with a memory array 400 comprising; a) using a computer, determining parameters that are intrinsically 255 for the memory array; b) generating a window address location 260 of the memory array to generate first 275 and second identity (ID) binary strings 275, 290 using memory errors and repeating a test on the memory array until a predetermined error count 265 is reached; and c) comparing the first and second ID binary strings, wherein if the first binary string has all the error memory addresses of the second string, then the first and second binary strings become the chip identity.
