Embodiments provide a device (10), a tire pressure measurement system, a tire (30), a method, and a computer program for obtaining information indicative of a tread depth (20) of the tire (30). The device for obtaining information indicating a tread depth (20) of a tire (30) of a vehicle includes a transducer (12) for providing acoustic signals based on electrical signals and vice versa. The device (10) further comprises a control unit (14) which is coupled to the transducer (12). The control unit (14) is configured to provide a first electrical signal to the transducer (12) based on which the transducer (12) provides an acoustic transmit signal. The control unit (14) is further adapted to receive a second electrical signal from the transducer (12). The second electrical signal is based on a reflected version of the acoustic transmission signal. The control unit (14) is further configured to process the second electrical signal to obtain the information indicative of the tread depth (20) of the tire (30).
