The invention relates to a polyethylene composite comprising a base resin comprising a homo- or copolymer component and at least one additive embedded in the homo- or copolymer component. The polyethylene composite has a mass of more than 1,000 grams per cubic centimetre. The invention also relates to a pipe made from such polyethylene composite and to a use of such pipe. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of laying such pipe and to a system for providing utility services, the system comprising such pipe.
