A household small appliance according to the invention has a housing which comprises a housing assembly (100) according to the invention. A first method according to the invention serves to assemble a housing or housing section for a small domestic appliance comprising at least two shell elements (10a, 10b) and a surface element (20). A second method according to the invention serves to replace a surface element (20) on a housing of a small household appliance.
