To provide a PAI solution for forming a porous polyamideimide (PAI) film excellent in moisture resistance, having high porosity, and having fine pores, and to provide a method for manufacturing a porous PAI film using the PAI solution.SOLUTION: 1 There is provided a homogeneous PAI solution for forming a porous PAI film with following characteristics. (1) A PAI is a PAI copolymer comprising dimer acid and/or dimer diamine component. (2) Solvent consists of a poor solvent and a good solvent for the PAI. 2 A method for manufacturing a porous PAI film comprising: applying the PAI solution onto a base material to form a coating film; and causing a phase separation in the coating film by using an action of the poor solvent remained in the coating film in the case of removing solvent in the coating film by drying to make the PAI on the base material porous is also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: None
