PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bile acid absorbents, lipid and sugar absorption inhibitors, insulin resistance index depressants, adiponectin secretion enhancers, liver triglyceride (TG) concentration depressants, production methods of these agents, and drinks having these agents in which low-molecular-weight konnyaku powders are used.SOLUTION: A bile acid absorbent and a food and drink having an excellent bile acid absorption effect, being easy to drink by suppressing viscosity increase even if dissolved in a liquid, and having high safety derived from konnyaku are constituted using low-molecular-weight konnyaku powders in which glucomannan, a dietary fiber comprised in a konnyaku powder, is depolymerized. A production method of bile acid absorbent can obtain pure low-molecular-weight konnyaku powders whose molecular weight of 1,000 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
