PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a small-sized and light weight formation of a cross head, an engine frame and a cross head type internal combustion engine.;SOLUTION: There are provided a cross head pin 52, and a semi-cylindrical bearing metal 71 that rotatably supports an outer surface of the cross head pin 52. The bearing metal 71 is provided with: a supporting surface 71a arranged at an inner surface of an intermediate part in the peripheral direction; cooling oil pockets 72 arranged at inner surfaces at both sides of the supporting surface 71a in the peripheral direction at an intermediate part in the axial direction; cooling oil communication holes 74 communicated with the cooling oil pockets 72 from the outer surface; a plurality of lubricant oil pockets 73 arranged independently at both sides of the cooling oil pockets 72 in the axial direction at the inner surface of the end in the peripheral direction; and lubricant oil communication holes 75 communicated with the plurality of lubricant oil pockets 73 from the outer surface.
