PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear wide-converter lens which offers good correction for various aberrations; an image capturing device having the rear wide-converter lens; and a manufacturing method for the rear wide-converter lens.SOLUTION: A rear wide-converter lens is mounted on the image side of a master lens to reduce focal length of an optical system that includes the master lens, has positive refractive power as a whole, comprises a first positive lens component Gp1, negative lens component Gn, and second positive lens component Gp2 in order from the object side, and simultaneously satisfies the following conditional expressions: 0.45, 0.10(-fn)/fc0.90, where represents a ratio of a focal length of the master lens to a composite focal length of the master lens and the rear wide-converter lens, fn represents a focal length of the negative lens component, and fc represents a focal length of the rear wide-converter lens.
