PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soybean seed extract and a method for production thereof; and a method for using the soybean seed extract to promote wound healing or neuronal cell proliferation, cure of brain disease, neurodegenerative disease, or breast cancer, reduce side effects that interfere with DNA- or RNA-replicating agents, and enhance pharmaceutical effects that interfere with DNA- or RNA-replication agent.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided an extract composition prepared by a process comprising the steps of: (a) providing soybean seeds and an extraction solution, the extraction solution being water or an alcoholic solution containing alcohol at a concentration of less than about 90% by weight; (b) extracting the soybean seeds using the extraction solution at an atmospheric pressure of less than about 1 atm (101325 Pa) and at a temperature of less than about 60°C to obtain a crude extract; and (c) removing the solid from the crude extract to obtain a liquid part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
