PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid writing material having excellent shape stability capable of maintaining desired dimensions during molding without causing the contraction fluctuations of a core diameter during freezing in the production process even when a thermochromic microcapsule pigment is used as a coloring agent.SOLUTION: There is provided a solid writing material which comprises: a reversible thermochromic microcapsule pigment including a temperature-sensitive color-changeable color-memorizing composition comprising at least (A) an electron-donating color-developing organic compound, (B) an electron-accepting compound and (C) a reaction medium which reversibly induces an electron donating and accepting reaction by the components (A) and (B) in a specific temperature range; an excipient; a binder; a binder resin; and a polyester polyol resin. There is provided a solid writing material set which is composed of the solid writing material and a friction body.
