A wood golf club head (10) used for a driver, comprises: a face portion (1) having a ball hitting surface (1A); a heel portion (2) located at an end on the side of a shaft relative to the ball hitting surface (1A); and a toe portion (3) located at an end facing away from the heel portion (2) relative to the ball hitting surface (1A). A ratio of a maximum length (L1 (unit: mm)) of the wood golf club head (10) in a direction from the heel portion (2) toward the toe portion (3) relative to the volume of the wood golf club head (10) (unit: cm 3 ) is equal to or greater than 0.30 and equal to or less than 1.04.
