PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device capable of suppressing a large reverse recovery current flow, even if a preceding arm is operating with a lead power factor.SOLUTION: In an inverter device including an inverter circuit 2 where a preceding arm consisting of a series connection of switching elements 2a, 2b, and a tracking arm consisting of a series connection of switching elements 2c, 2d are connected in parallel, and a control circuit 7 performing phase shift control, diodes 3c, 3d for reverse parallel connection with the switching elements 2c, 2d are normal type silicon diodes, and diodes 3a, 3b for reverse parallel connection with the switching elements 2a, 2b are fast recovery diodes. Even if the preceding arm operates with a lead power factor, large reverse recovery current flow can be suppressed. Furthermore, steady loss can be suppressed compared with a case where the diodes 3c, 3d are also fast recovery diodes, and production cost can be suppressed.
