PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a read-aloud evaluation device, a read-aloud evaluation method, and a program that take into account an influence of masking resulting from background noise and that obtain an evaluation result closer to the feeling when the noise is heard by humans.SOLUTION: A read-aloud evaluation device calculates a masked voice frequency spectrum representing a difference between each frequency level in a speaker voice frequency spectrum and a masked level for each of the frequencies by using, as a reference, a frequency with masking effects in a background noise frequency spectrum, and then evaluates aloud reading in the presence of background noise on the basis of similarity between the masked voice frequency spectrum and a model frequency spectrum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
