An information terminal functions as a playback control unit by which, due to the execution of a computer program, program identification information for identifying a program and user identification information for identifying a user are transmitted to a management server simultaneously or at different timings; in a case where a specific timing at which an advertisement video is to be played back is detected, the advertisement video to be played back is specified and a specified advertisement video which is the specified advertisement video is played back by a video player; after the specified advertisement video has been viewed, confirmation-of-viewing information which confirms that the specified advertisement video was viewed is transmitted to the management server along with the user identification information and advertisement video specifying information which identifies the specified advertisement video. The present invention can be used with, for example, a smart phone.
