PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the moisture content ratio and moisture content percentage of soil to be measured easily in the scene of soil sampling.SOLUTION: A soil sample weighing A grams is put into a sucrose aqueous solution of B% in sucrose concentration and C grams in weight, and the sugar content of the stirred solution is measured with a saccharimeter or a refractometer. On the basis of the measured sugar content D%, the X-gram weight of water in the soil is calculated by the following formula (1), and further the moisture content ratio Y% or the moisture content percentage Z% of the soil is calculated by the following formulas (2) and (3).
