PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal combustion device which can improve the combustion efficiency of powdered coal, and inexpensively and reliably reduce the unburnt content concentration in coal ash.SOLUTION: A coal combustion device I comprises a roller mill 2 that crushes supplied coal into powdered coal, and a furnace 1 for the combustion of the powdered coal crushed by the roller mill 2. The device also comprises spray means 5 that sprays acetic acid solution in which iron or calcium is melted to the coal supplied to the furnace 1.
