Provided is a suction tool for an electric vacuum cleaner that is convenient for the user while ensuring the capability to suction in airborne dust without negatively affecting the design of the suction tool body of the electric vacuum cleaner. The suction tool is provided with: the suction tool body (21); a first suction opening (25) provided on the bottom-surface side of the suction tool body, dust on a surface to be cleaned being suctioned through said opening (25); and a joint pipe (22) connected to the suction tool body so as to be capable of turning; a second suction opening (34) provided on the joint pipe, airborne dust being suctioned through said opening (34). Due to this configuration, the capability to suction airborne dust can be ensured without negatively affecting the design of the suction tool body of the electric vacuum cleaner.
