In one embodiment, the method includes forming a first spindle cover (122) of the rotor blade (100) from a first resin material. another step includes placing the first stringer cap (122) within a first casing mold (125) of the rotor blade (100). a further step includes infusing a second resin material into the first housing mold (125) to form a first housing member (110) of the rotor blade (100). thereby at least a portion of the first stringer cap (122) is infused into the first shell member (110). In addition, the second resin material is different from the first resin material. The method also includes infusing the second resin material into a second housing mold (127) to form a second housing member (112) of the rotor blade (100). another step includes joining the first and second housing members (110, 112) to form the rotor blade (100).
