A method for suggesting further testing based on a patient's health status and medical records is disclosed which comprises: entering, through a user interface, the patient's medical records; acquire the patient's health parameters; determine the patient's health status based on the acquired health parameters; transmit to a network server the determined patient health status and the patient medical records entered to determine a health model based on the transmitted patient health status and the patient's medical records; receive from the network server the determined health model; extract from the received health model an oxygen saturation level threshold and a pulse rate threshold range; acquire a patient's oxygen saturation level and pulse rate through a pulse oximeter; and suggest further testing of the acquired health model when the acquired oxygen saturation level and pulse rate are not within the oxygen saturation level threshold and extracted pulse rate threshold range.
