The invention relates to the field of measurement technology, and in particular to methods of controlling the loading of railway tanks with liquid products, oil, petroleum products, petrochemical products, food products, and can be used to control the level of loading of railway tanks directly in the process of loading liquid products to exclude (prevent) overflow or non-filling tanks. The method of controlling the level of loading of railway tanks in the process of loading liquid products is characterized by the fact that, before starting the loading of the tank, the estimated level of loading (N) of the tank is determined on the basis of the estimated temperature (t °) of the loaded product, the estimated level of loading (N) is fixed using a level control device load, including the bar installed at the calculated load level (H) bar, which is placed inside the tank. Next, carry out a visual inspection of the moment at which the level of the poured product reaches the calculated load level (H), fixed by the bar. In the process of pouring the product using a thermal imaging device, the actual temperature (t °) of the product being poured is measured, while in case of a change in the actual temperature (t °) of the loaded product from the calculated temperature (t °), the calculated load level (H ) tanks. The device for controlling the level of loading of railway tanks in the process of loading liquid products includes a rod placed inside the tank with a bar installed at the calculated loading level (H) of the tank, and a thermal imaging device designed to measure the temperature of the loaded product. The technical result is to improve the accuracy of loading the tank by controlling the actual temperature of the poured product and adjusting the calculated load level in case of temperature change relative to the calculated one.
