The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition based on nanoparticles of docetaxel-albumin, its preparation and its use for the manufacture of drugs for the treatment of cancer. The pharmaceutical composition contains docetaxel, albumin and amino acid (s), where the mass ratio of albumin to docetaxel is not more than 50, preferably is from 20: 1 to 1: 1 and the mass ratio of amino acid (amino acids) to docetaxel is not less than 0.5 preferably between 1: 1 and 20: 1.
