The invention is related to computer systems for simulating a mature hydrocarbon field, and to a method for development of a mature hydrocarbon field. The computer system comprises a processor and an information carrier containing machine-readable instructions; the instructions, when read by the processor, provide creation of a hydrocarbon recovery model (2) for simulating a mature hydrocarbon field. The hydrocarbon recovery model (2) allows calculation of the hydrocarbon amount produced (Qφktb) per phase, per well, per formation (or a group of formations) and per time as a function of production parameters (PP), wherein said hydrocarbon production model (2) provides matching the history data (HD) of said mature hydrocarbon field and verifies the Vapnik condition.
