The invention relates to the prototype pharmaceutical activity of the GABA steatamide GS, GABA palmitamide GP, GABA linoleamide Gl and progabide PG with off-synaptic agonistic action on the GABA A and GABA B receptors of the brain and of the central neural system in general, causing pro-GABAergic and antiglutamatergic actions antagonizing all the components of the vicious circle resulting from the unbalance of the glutamatergic/GABAergic pair (in favor to the glutamatergic action on the neurodegenerative and neurodevelopment diseases) by developing protective and preventive properties against the above diseases.
