Procedure for the separation of a mixture of hydrocarbons containing hydrogen (C2 less), which, in addition to hydrogen, contains essentially hydrocarbons with two carbon and methane atoms, using a distillation column (10), in which - it is cooled fluid (a, c, e) from the hydrocarbon mixture (C2 minus) at a first pressure level, gradually from a first temperature level, through two or more intermediate temperature levels, to a second temperature level, separating At each temperature level the first condensates (b, d), from the fluid (a, c, e), - fluid (e) is fed from the hydrocarbon mixture (C2 minus), which remains as a gas in the second temperature level, at the first pressure level in an absorber C2 (7), to which a liquid reflux (r) is fed into the head, a second condensate (f) being extracted from the tail of the absorber C2 (7) and in absorber head C2 (7) a gaseous head stream (g), containing e predominantly methane and hydrogen, - fluid from the gaseous head stream (g) of the absorber head C2 (7) is cooled to a third temperature level, and transferred to the first pressure level to a hydrogen separator (8 ), in which, from the fluid in the gas stream (g), a gaseous stream remains, rich in hydrogen (h), a third condensate rich in methane (i) is separated, and - fluid is decompressed from the first condensates (b, d) and fluid from the second condensate (f) of the first pressure level at a second pressure level below the first pressure level, and it is fed to the distillation column (10), which it is operated at the second pressure level, obtaining in the distillation column (10), and extracting from the distillation column (10) at least one liquid stream (o), which is essentially made up of hydrocarbons with two carbon atoms, and a liquid stream (m), which is essentially made up of me tano, characterized in that the reflux (r) fed into the absorber head C2 (7) is formed from the fluid of the third condensate (i), which is separated in the hydrogen separator (8) from the fluid of the gaseous head current (g) from the head of the absorber C2 (7), and it is transferred from the hydrogen separator (8) to the absorber C2 (7) exclusively by the action of gravity.
