GUTTER GUARD AND KIT FOR GUTTER HAVING HANGER

A gutter guard kit is provided for covering an opening of a gutter having afront walland a rear wall and further having a gutter hanger member secured thereto. Theopening is defined by top edges of the front and rear walls and the gutterhangermember is secured to the gutter from engagement with the front and rear walls.The kit includes a support member having a rigid body portion, a hangerengagement portion extending from a first edge of the body portion and a guardretaining portion extending from a second edge of the body portion. The kitalsoincludes a guard member having a plurality of throughholes formed therein, theguard member being engageable with at least one of the front wall of thegutterand the front end of the gutter hanger member and with the guard retainingportionof the support member.
