The security and protection monitoring device comprises: an MCU for turning off a main power circuit, the security and protection monitoring device being in a dormant state; a secondary power circuit for supplying power to the MCU and a WIFI module; the WIFI module for notifying the MCU of turning on the main power circuit when receiving a wake-up request sent from the outside, so that the main power circuit supplies power to a video information acquisition module, and the security and protection monitoring device is switched from the dormant state to a wake-up state; and the video information acquisition module for acquiring video data information and sending the video data information to the outside via the WIFI module. By means of a wake-up request of a mobile terminal, the present invention realizes switching between a dormant state and a wake-up state, thereby achieving the technical effects of reducing power consumption and prolonging standby time.
