The present invention relates to an electric vehicle-charging smart socket and a charging method utilizing the same, and the electric vehicle-charging smart socket for charging an electric vehicle comprises: a billing determination unit for determining whether to perform billing by comparing, with a preset allowable power amount, the power consumption amount of an external device corresponding to a plug coupled to the smart socket; a short-distance wireless communication unit for receiving, from a user terminal, payment information for supplying power to the external device on the basis of the determination on whether to perform billing; and a power supply unit for supplying power to the external device.
