The invention relates to a resonantly excitable component (1), which is resonantly excitable for vibration with eigenmodes and eigenfrequencies by means of an excitation signal (A), and which in an excited state vibrates at a first resonance frequency (f_a) with a first mode, and at a second resonance frequency (3f_a) with a second mode. The second resonance frequency (3f_a) is thereby higher than the first resonance frequency (f_a) by a factor of three. The resonantly excitable component (1) is mounted on regions, at which vibration nodes occur in the excited state. The invention further relates to a resonance scanner (16), comprising the resonantly excitable component (1), and to a method for operating a resonantly excitable component (1).
