This method for producing a liquid culture medium composition includes a step in which a first liquid including a specific compound indicated in (i) below, and a second liquid including a linking substance indicated in (ii) below are mixed at a temperature which is not higher than 25˚C, but higher than the freezing point, to form a liquid culture medium composition including, in a uniformly dispersed state, a structure obtained by linking the specific compound via the linking substance. (i) The specific compound is a polymer compound which has anionic functional groups, and which is capable of forming, as a result of being linked via divalent metal cations, a structure in which cells or tissue can float. (ii) The linking substance is divalent metal cations.
