摘要

The present invention relates to a process for producing a nanocomposite containing graphene oxide and silica nanoparticles as a hydrophobic drug carrier. The present invention also relates to the nanocomposite produced or not produced by said process, and to use thereof in preparing drugs for antitumour, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antimalarial treatments without, however, being limited to said applications. The nanocomposites produced showed a decrease in the level of hemolysis, which was at least two times lower and a maximum of eight times lower than graphene oxide alone when exposed to red blood cells. Furthermore, the nanocomposites produced showed reduced interaction with blood proteins, which can include the protein family of the immunological system, preventing early elimination thereof from the circulatory system before delivery of the hydrophobic drug to the biological target.
