The present invention relates to the field of information processing techniques. Provided are a method and device for providing a proposed quote for an insurance policy, a terminal apparatus, and a medium. The method comprises: scanning, by means of a scanning apparatus, a valid certificate of a target client to acquire an identification of the target client; acquiring, according to the identification, and from a networked database, client information of the target client; performing matching on the client information and various insurance products for sale to obtain a matched insurance product scheme; performing, according to the client information and the matched insurance product scheme, calculation to obtain a quote scheme corresponding to the insurance product scheme; and displaying the matched insurance product scheme and the quote scheme to the target client in a preset manner. The solution solves a problem in which existing processes for providing proposed quotes have low processing efficiency.
