Provided are a spiral-type gas-separation membrane element, a manufacturing method therefor, a gas-separation membrane module that includes the gas-separation membrane element, and a gas-separation device. The spiral-type gas-separation membrane element includes a laminate that is wound around a perforated center tube and includes a separation membrane and flow-path member composite. The separation membrane and flow-path member composite includes: a gas-separation membrane that includes a first porous layer and a hydrophilic resin composition layer, and is folded twice such that the first porous layer is provided on the outside of the hydrophilic resin composition layer; and a flow-path member that forms a gas flow-path that is sandwiched by the gas-separation membrane. The flow-path member is equipped with a first cover part that covers one edge among the four edges of the flow-path member. The first cover part is disposed closest to a bent part of the twice-folded gas-separation membrane.
