Provided is an automatic scoring method for a photo based on aesthetic assessment. The method comprises: training an aesthetic assessment module; acquiring a photo in an intelligent device, and performing image recognition and scene classification on the photo using an image scene classification algorithm, and determining whether the photo is a close-up photo; when the photo is not a close-up photo, inputting first information about the photo into the aesthetic assessment module to score same; and when the photo is a close-up photo, inputting second information about the photo in to the aesthetic assessment module to score same. In the present invention, the aesthetic assessment module is trained, and the scene classification is performed on the acquired photo by means of the scene classification algorithm, and the photo is then introduced into the aesthetic assessment module for automatic scoring, thus improving the accuracy of scoring, and avoiding the subjectivity and one-sidedness of artificial rule evaluation.
