The present invention relates to a novel sesquiterpene derivative, a preparing method for the same, and a pharmaceutical composition including the same as an active ingredient for preventing or treating bone diseases. According to the present invention, the compound being the novel sesquiterpene derivative represented by the chemical formula 1 and stereoisomers of the same or pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the same have excellent osteoclast formation inhibiting capabilities and suppress the destruction or absorption of bone tissues accordingly, thereby making the pharmaceutical composition including the same as an active ingredient for preventing or treating bone diseases useful.
