Provided is a method for producing polydicyclopentadiene, including a step of carrying out a ring-opening metathesis reaction using a mixture composed of dicyclopentadiene and 1,5-cyclooctadiene as a reactant in the presence of a catalyst. Moreover, provided are polydicyclopentadiene produced thereby, and a use thereof. According to the present invention, molding is possible with low pressure due to low viscosity of a polydicyclopentadiene raw material, physical properties can be enhanced, and precise production of polydicyclopentadiene molded products is also possible.
