Semantic web based information retrieval system for the automatic integration framework

An information search system aims at delivering knowledge information that a user wants to find more accurately and quickly. However, a current search system is based on a simple syntactic analysis, so it does not provide accurate information that users want. In this paper, we propose a semantic web based information retrieval system (SW-IRS) using an ontology server. The proposed system maximizes the processing of unstructured documents as well as semi-structured documents by using agent-based automatic classification technology and semantic web-based information retrieval techniques. In addition, we support a document storage server of a resource description framework (RDF) scheme for interoperability and data integration, and a search ranking is set with respect to web pages for faster and accurate information search. Finally, we propose a new ranking algorithm and conduct a performance evaluation using the new ranking algorithm to verify the efficiency and accuracy.
