The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a channel sign using a laser beam, in which a body can be provided with a light source by the laser beam to remarkably raise productivity and reduce manufacturing costs, as well as improving brightness and quality of the channel signs, and the channel sign manufactured thereby. The method includes a step of forming the light source groove by the laser beam and a step of cutting an edge of the body by the laser beam. The light source forming step includes a vertical forming step of setting the light source groove in a triangular shape when seen from a cross section, and forming a vertical groove by irradiating the laser beam in a vertical direction or a nearly vertical direction to an angular point, and a slope forming step of forming an inclined groove by obliquely irradiating the laser beam from a rear side of the body to the angular point. At the vertical forming step and the slope forming step, the laser beam is irradiated to a point where the vertical groove and the inclined groove interest. In the channel sign, the light source groove is formed in the triangular shape when seen from the cross section in cooperation with a reflective member installed to the rear side by the laser machining.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
